Astronomy is the oldest science, part of our natural world and an excellent tool for exploration and wonder. Whether you are a school, an individual or a lodge, we are here to offer you a guided tour of Kenya’s unpolluted equatorial night skies while you enjoy views through our large computerised telescope. We can travel to you or you can visit us at our headquarters in Nairobi. During the Covid-19 Pandemic we are offering live views through our telescope. Please keep checking for updates to participate in these programs.
We offer school packages tailored specifically for the teachers and students. We visit schools with our telescope either during the day or at night. So far more than two hundred thousand students have looked through our telescope. We believe every single kid should have a chance to look through a telescope at least once in their lifetime. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we are working on a project for schools to use virtual telescopes as they keep exploring the exciting realm of the Cosmos.
Kenya is an excellent astro-tourism destination because her plentiful remote national parks with unpolluted equatorial dark skies. We organise Star Safaris for individual groups or through partnerships with lodges and hotels. Our team of expert astronomers will give you an “edutaining” tour of the African skies as you enjoy views through our telescope. We work with various high end lodges and organise Star Safaris for small groups/families leaving the city for a quick camping trip. Please get in touch with us if you would like to experience a star safari with us.
