A planetarium show includes a 30-minute live presentation (using a simulated Universe with time and space-travelling elements) and one of the following full-dome documentaries:
– From Earth to the Universe
A stunning voyage through space and time. Revel in the splendour of the worlds in the Solar System, our scorching Sun, to the colourful birthplaces and burial grounds of stars, and still further out beyond the Milky Way to other galaxies.
– Darkside of Light
Light pollution. Have you ever heard of this term? How can something as essential as light even be associated with pollution? And yet, there it is. So why is the increasing level of artificial lighting dangerous for us? Let’s take a look together at what is hidden under the term light pollution and what each of us can do about it.
– Forward to the Moon
NASA’s 21st century Artemis program, named after the Greek moon Goddess and twin of Apollo, is the next step in our mission to explore the universe and land the first woman and person of colour on the surface of the Moon.
– Sunstruck
Travel back to the beginning of time and experience the birth of the Sun. Discover how it came to support life, how it threatens life as we know it, and how its energy will one day fade away.
– Cosmix & The Journey to the birth of the Solar System
Have you ever wondered how astronauts perform their jobs? After watching the Cosmix show, it will be absolutely clear to you! But hold tight, it will be a crazy ride.
Plus, we get to see what we understand about the formation of the solar system looked like.
– Rising Star, A South African Astronomical Journey
Rising Star takes you on an astronomical journey from our beginnings through the development of astronomy research in South Africa and looks at what the future of astronomy holds for the country. In addition to introducing multi-wavelength and multi-messenger astronomy, it highlights the many remarkable facilities hosted in South Africa, along with some of their latest results.

Private planetarium shows can be done outside of the scheduled show times. These are either for school visits, individuals who want their own shows or those who wish to hold sessions for a party. The mobile planetarium features an inflatable dome measuring either 8 metres in diameter or a smaller one of 6 metres in diameter.
